This substance abuse video focuses on the causes, symptoms, and treatment of an alcohol or drug problem. Substance abuse is rampant in the United States and around the world. It causes untold misery for the individual sufferer and their families.

"I believe most people begin to use drugs and alcohol by experimenting due to peer pressure. Every culture has certain intoxicating drugs that are known, some legal and some that are not, and people tend to experiment with them no matter how much we wish they wouldn't. It is important to educate people enough to know if they are losing control and the dynamics of what really happens in the brain and body of the abuser. I believe most substance abusers are self-medicating because of a psychological, chemical or emotional issue that they don't even know about."
